Before you read my book review of, Styxx (Dark-Hunter Series). You should read have read all the previous books in the Dark-Hunter Series. This series is super large there are 21 books before you get to Styxx. So if you are new and looking different spin on vampires? Picking up this series will not disappoint. The first book in the series is Fantasy Lover. Also, Dark-Hunter Companian is a good resource for this huge book series.

My Opinion of Styxx (Dark-Hunter Series)

Styxx partners the book Acheron, both books are the twin brother’s points of view of the same story. I was super excited to finally get to this book. I was ready to hate him even from his point of view. Styxx is a very long story of 1008 pages. So prepare some time! If you are a fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon’s work and know her style, Styxx’s story won’t disappoint! You definitely need to pick up this book.

Styxx took another step forward. He stood so close now that Ash could see his reflection in Styxx’s blue eyes. Those eyes pierced him with sincerity. “I want to go to Katateros.”

Ash frowned at him. “Why?”

“I want to know my brother.”

Styxx is brutal. In fact, it’s worse than brutal. Some of it is absolutely mortifying. Sherrilyn Kenyon is the queen of torture and she does not spare a once of it here. Like I said above I wanted a story where I hated him but Sherrilyn Kenyon a good job of humanizing him. You start to understand why he was the way he was in Acheron. You also see another layer to Acheron that wasn’t revealed before.
