Angelus Rose As Above, So Below By Loren Rhoads & Brian Thomas. Is the second book in the series. You should read the first book Lost Angels. Click Here for my review.
Angelus Rose Summary
Lorelei finds out that Azaziel is bending the rules with grey souls that both heaven and hell abide by. Which made Lorelei have to decide what is more important betraying her love or keeping her life. If she tells her boss Asmodeus and betrays Azaiel, Asmodeus will likely start a war with the angels. If she keeps Azaziel secret betraying her boss he will kill her.
There is no more flying under the radar of heaven. Lorelei fell in love with an angel and all hell knows it. There is also no love from the angels. They don’t approve of one of their brothers falling in love with a succubus. No angel is going to protect a succubus, even if she has a soul.
My Start Rating Explained
Angelus Rose Review
Angelus Rose is a lot like Lost Angels. Lorelei making more enemies when she needs friends. Azaziel living in the gray area and acting a tad bit selfish for an angel. Both of them trying to decide if their love is worth it. Or if they could even go back from the trouble they have caused. If you like Lost Angels your going to like Angelus Rose.
What stood out to me was the battle scene. Battle scenes are not my favorite to read. I like them, but I love to read the politics, witty dialog between characters, backstabbing plays, romance. Battle scenes I usually read as fast as I can to find out the outcome.
But in Angelus Rose, the battle scene kept me interested! Very few do. I loved how it switches from character to character. Didn’t drag out each scene too long for tension build-up. You got to read each character triumph or perish without getting overwhelmed. The cake topper was right after the battle! I won’t spoil it for you.
